Meet Jenny the Cat |

Feline Offers Comfort to Retired Sisters |

Hi, everyone. My name is Jenny and I am a cat. I am so blessed to have a wonderful life. I want to share a bit of my life with you, and what I do at St. Joseph’s Provincial House. First of all, let me tell you how I got here. When Sister Jo Ann Knight was visiting her parents in West Virginia, her Dad asked her to go to the Dollar General Store to get some paper towels. Instead of paper towels, she found me! I was wandering the parking lot trying not to get hit by a car, and I was scared. Sister Jo Ann rescued me, and brought me back to St. Joseph’s Provincial House. That was the luckiest day of my life! By the way, my name “Jenny” comes from “General,” in Dollar General. My wandering days have now moved inside St. Joseph’s Provincial House, and my job is as a therapy cat to our elder Sisters. You can find me cuddling on a Sister’s lap, entertaining an audience with my gymnastics, or keeping watch over one of the dying Sisters. I bring comfort, joy, and laughter into many lives. I suppose most people would call me a lucky stray cat, but here they call me a BLESSING.
Oh, yes, I was one of the top 10 finalists! You can see me online at the Humane Society website. And of course, as a celebrity, I do give paw prints upon request! |
